Alabama Baby Magazine's Babypalooza & Expo is a free event for new, expectant, and hopeful parents. It’s a day full of fun and information with more than 100 exhibitors highlighting everything from health and fitness to nursery design, infant and maternity fashion, mommy and me classes, baby photographers, and much more.

Special Attractions
Stroller Strides Fitness Demonstration
Kick-start the day with a free Birmingham Stroller Strides exercise class. Starting at 10 a.m. we will attempt to have the biggest Stroller Strides class ever as moms gather with babies to walk, stretch, and train.
   
Citywide Baby Shower
Join other parents, grandparents, and friends to celebrate the newest addition to your family. Play Baby Bingo and trivia to win prizes and gifts. Collect baby bucks and bid on new and hot products in the Faux Auction.
 
   
Diaper Derby
Presented by Babies R Us and Hosted by Magic 96, it's baby against baby as they crawl to the finish line! Open to babies between six and 12 months who are crawling but not yet walking.
   
Fashion Parades
Maternity and children’s fashion parades will take place throughout the day. Catch the models walking through the mall, posing, and handing out coupons and flyers!

 

   

Make Your Own Baby Food
Cooking Class
Learn a few dynamite recipes for making
HappyBaby baby food and using it in toddler and adult recipes like apple oat muffins, pear parfaits that the kids can make, etc. Attendees will be able to sample this delicious organic baby food.
   
Shopping and More Shopping
Visit infant and maternity retailers at Colonial Brookwood Village like Motherhood Maternity, Strasburg Children, KB Toys, and Spots & Dots Toys. Plan your nursery with T.D’s Kids Furniture, Once Upon a Time, and Storkland. Or see what’s offered in the area’s wide selection of independent and specialty boutiques like Discovery Toys, Fireflies & Fairtytales, Red Wagon, and many others.

Health & Fitness Expo
Talk with local OB/GYN, fertility, and
women's health experts. See prenatal exercise demos, and learn about infant health, car seat safety, and much more. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama will present “Baby Yourself,” a prenatal wellness program which helps ensure
expectant mothers and their babies
receive the best possible health care
during pregnancy.
   
Celebration Expo
Hosted by 103.7 The Q

Planning a baby shower, christening,
or first birthday party? Visit the Celebration Expo to sample cakes, and chocolates, get decoration ideas, and talk to representatives from area party facilities. See new balloon designs like the Pacifier Arch from Bama Balloons. And don't forget to step outside to experience the Kids Gym Flip & Fun gym bus.
   
Natural Parenting Expo
Check out seminars and demos on cloth diapers, making your own baby food, and breastfeeding. Sample organic baby food from Happy Baby. See how easy cloth diapers have become. Learn about baby wearing as Magic City Slingers host the Baby Wearing Parade and Demonstration.
 
   
La Leche World Breastfeeding Week Celebration
La Leche League of Shelby County and Birmingham South will be co-hosting their World Breastfeeding Week Celebration. Featuring a silent auction, baby scales books, and pamphlets on breastfeeding, as well as La Leche League members on-hand to answer questions.
 
   
  Child Safety Expo
Birmingham Safe Kids, State Farm, and Children’s Health System will present car seat safety seminars. The Alabama Freemasons will provide Free Child ID Kits, which include space for photo, thumbprints, and hair for DNA.
 
   
Product Sampling

Sample Vitamin Water, new types of milk from Barber’s Dairy, HappyBaby organic baby food, Nutrabella Belly Bars, Preggie Pops, and more.
